New to jump building?

Use Help Me Choose to get a recommended setup based on your sport, skill level, jump feel, and airbag. You can still fine-tune the dimensions manually afterward.

Manual adjustments: change one value at a time and watch the preview, build summary, and airbag recommendation update. For beginners, start with smaller height and larger transition radius.

Current setup: 72″ height, 144″ transition radius, 60° takeoff

Detailed dimensions

Run: 124 11/16"
Side panel min clearance above grade: 1/2"
Arc center → left panel edge (horizontal): 12"
Arc Length: 150 13/16"
Layout Mode: split-side
Total Side Length: 132 11/16"
Toe (8") + arc run (124 11/16"): horizontal distance from the toe tip to the lip along the side profile. It is not the sum of the plywood panel callouts (those start at the buildable arc cut; the 2nd panel outline also includes a short top deck past the lip).
Split distance from toe tip: 108 11/16"
Lower panel (first sheet, horizontal along curve): 88 11/16" (max 96")
Upper arc run (joint → lip, horizontal): 24"
Horizontal arc length from the joint to the lip (model x). Same as total side length minus split distance from toe (132 11/16"108 11/16").
Rib Spacing Details:
Rib spacing is measured as the straight chord between rib centerlines (tape measure pulled tight rib-to-rib). On the lower section, panel_start_arc is to the buildable bottom-panel cut; first_rib_arc is the first rib center (ground clearance search); panel_vertex_arc is the lower arc end at the section joint (panel vertex). Then usable = vertex − first_rib − 1 1/2" (nominal last rib center sits ~1 1/2" arc before the vertex), interval_count = ceil(usable / max_arc), arc spacing usable / interval_count, seam rib at the vertex. The upper section stops 1 1/2" short of the lip.
Max rib spacing (chord): 8"
First section ribs: 12 | Actual spacing (chord): 7 15/16"
Lower section spacing (nominal) panel_start_arc = 12" (bottom panel arc start) panel_vertex_arc = 111 1/2" (joint / arc end) total_arc_span_panel = 99 1/2" (vertex − panel_start) first_rib_center_arc = 22 1/2" first_rib_inset_from_panel = 10 1/2" (first rib centerline − panel_start) nominal_last_rib_center = 110" (vertex − 1 1/2") usable_arc_span = 87 1/2" (nominal_last − first_rib) max_arc_ceiling = 8" (max chord → arc) interval_count = max(1, ceil(usable / max_arc_ceiling)) = 11 arc_spacing = 7 15/16" (usable / interval_count) chord (tape) = 7 15/16" (2·R·sin(arc_spacing/(2·R)); R = 144")

Build Notes:
  • See the Drawing dimension key above for lettered dimensions on the main drawing.
  • Side profile needs lower and upper sections.
  • Build lower and upper side assemblies separately, then join them using 1/2" bolts, washers, and locking nuts.
  • Use the split position and section lengths to guide side cut planning.
